AnyForty Charity Group Show at 5th Base Gallery

I was chuffed to be asked to design a print for the AnyForty International Charity exhibition by Al.

He told me to create something fun that I was a big fan of when I was younger, preferably a film if I could.

As a very keen movie addict from being young I was inundated with movies to choose from. Aliens, Nightmare On Elm Street, Back to the Future, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, The Goonies, Robocop or maybe….. Gremlins! Ha!

I loved the limited palette we were asked to use. It gave all the prints a nice uniform look throughout.

Anyway here are more details stolen from the AnyForty blog.

We’ve artwork on display from 27 worldwide artists (check out the flyer above), and check out a lil sneak peek at some of the artwork that will be on display below (from left to right) by Travis Price, Dmitri Aske aka The SickSystems, Add Fuel, Paulo Arraiano and Mister Lister.

A3 prints will be able to be purchased from the gallery on the night for a bargain £20.

Fear not if you’re out of the country or simply can’t make it down/across/up to London, for there will be a one week only pre sale of the poster prints going up on from Monday 28th July at 7pm, you’ll have 7 days to purchase prints from the show, they will then be produced to demand, and delivered to you within the following couple of weeks.

There will also be 5 limited edition t-shirts produced for the show, strictly limited to 50 of each that we’ll be selling 25 of the 50 at the gallery over the 4 days, then 25 of them online from the 28th, alongside a very special AnyForty x StickerApp sticker pack, containing 6 die cut stickers. 100 of the packs will be sold at the gallery show for £10 and the remaining 50 of them will also go online on the 28th at 7pm. (GMT)

So there you have it, loads of great goodies to buy from some incredibly talented artists, with ALL PROFITS going to the UK charity CALM at the end of August once we’ve sold everything.  The show opens Thursday night with a very special launch party going on from 6pm till 9pm, features a drinks supplied by our good pals at Translate Bar Shoreditch which are available for a £1 minimum donation, live musical entertainment by our beatboxing bredrin Hobbit and friends, and a sick dj set by the incredible The Last Skeptik. If that’s not enough good stuff, then once the gallery closes at 9pm we’ll be taking the party over to Translate to really let our hair down and celebrate a great and succesfull event that we’ve worked incredibly hard on!

The show opens Thursday 24th July, 6-9pm and runs Friday 25th July, 12pm-6pm, Saturday 26th July, 12pm-6pm and closes Sunday 27th July, 12pm-6pm.
